l  Introduction

  • During production, static electricity can cause
    (i) overload of electrical equipment, (ii) explosion in an operating room, (iii) there is always a shock risk, (iv) the product sticks to the machine, and breakage of fibers decreases the fabric strength.
  • It can increase the production time.
  • Different types of belts are being produced for spunbond and meltblown processes.
  • The goals are (i) decreasing static charge generation and (ii) helping the dissipation of charge.
  • The main material that is being used in the belt structure is carbon-suffused polyamide (Nylon 6.6), dealing with dissipation of electrostatics (by 중간 정도의 절연성, 흡습성)
  • The difference in belt structure determines the amount of charge generated.
    • warp (세로 방향의 실, 가로 방향은 weft) and web densities
    • The percentages and types of monofilaments
  • The behavior of belts can be affected by speed, tension, humidity, and temperature.
